Central Florida Veg Fest is more than just a local event. It's also a statewide and even national event. Many of the sponsors, vendors, speakers, and musicians are from all over the country. No matter where you live, consider a trip to Central Florida for Veg Fest, one of the best vegetarian festivals in the country!
For great places to eat, including many of our food vendors, check out the Vegetarians of Central Florida Veg Dining Guide.
Loch Haven Park is located between downtown Orlando and Winter Park. It is also the location of the Orlando Shakespeare Theater, Orlando Repertory Theatre, Orlando Science Center, and other venues. If you aren't familiar with its location, here is a map to the park on Mapquest. Click on "Directions To" above the upper left part of the map.
Save gas and the environment by taking LYNX to Veg Fest! Click here (PDF) or here (Word) for information on bus routes. For more information about other alternative modes of transportation, including carpooling and vanpooling, go to LYNX Commuter Services.
Make your trip to Veg Fest healthy, carbon-free, and fun! Get on the Bike-Bus! What’s a Bike-Bus? It’s a bunch of bicyclists traveling together along a predetermined route and schedule, just like a transit bus does. Just look for the Bike-Bus near you (check back at this page in October for a link to the routes), check the stops and schedule, ride your bike to the nearest stop, and “hop on.” You can also join Orlando Bike-Bus on Facebook for updates or to volunteer. Florida Bicycle Association is coordinating the “bus driver” volunteers. Rusted Chain Bike Collective will provide valet bicycle parking at Veg Fest.
If you are traveling from out of town, we suggest that you stay at the Sheraton Orlando Downtown or the Best Western Mount Vernon Inn. Both are located about two miles from Loch Haven Park. For the special room rate of $96.00 per night the weekend of Veg Fest, call (407) 425-4455 for the Sheraton or (800) 992-3379 for the Best Western and mention "Central Florida Veg Fest". Room availability is limited. The Sheraton allows companion animals.
