About Central Florida Veg Fest

Central Florida Veg Fest takes place in October (in honor of World Farm Animals Day) in or around Orlando, FL. The themes of Veg Fest include health and wellness, vegetarian cuisine, the environment, animal welfare and rights, and community-building activism.

Veg Fest features the following components:

   * Sessions: Enjoy free sessions throughout the duration of Veg Fest, including speakers, entertainment, food preparation demonstrations, yoga, and kid's activities. Please see Schedule for a complete outline of activities.

   * Consumer expo and information fest: Businesses and organizations staff their own vendor tables at the fest. If you are interested in exhibiting at this year's Veg Fest, please see Vendors to download our Vendor Package. Deadline for applications is September 30, 2007. We encourage any company or group to make a promotional donation of veg and veg-related products and services to Veg Fest.

   * Vegetarian food: Food concessions offer a variety of reasonably priced vegetarian meals to visitors at the fest. Central Florida-area restaurants, natural markets, caterers, and organizations operate the food concessions. Meals served represent a range of ethno-cultural backgrounds (e.g., American, Chinese, Indian, Italian, Middle Eastern, Thai, etc.)

Goals of Central Florida Veg Fest

The goals of Veg Fest are to:

  * Support all vegetarians and people who are on the road to becoming vegetarians, regardless of their motivation.

  * Proactively promote vegetarianism in a non-judgmental way.

  * Help empower people to make positive changes in the way they eat and live.
